Sunshine

Wander amongst the clouds

Sunshine is an immersive installation that invites visitors to wander through a sky world. An imagination of a journey into the sky with shifting weather, Sunshine invites visitors to reflect on the impacts of our changing climate across the globe.

Weather is changing, everywhere. Across the globe, storms intensify, heat waves linger, and rainfall patterns shift. Oceans warm, winds grow wilder, and seasons blur their boundaries. Climate change is transforming our skies, which will affect every facet of our lives across the globe.

11 countries are planting trees across the Sahel to fight desertification and create climate-resilient jobs.

Cooling Cities - South Korea

Seoul is painting rooftops white and planting trees to cool the city and reduce heatwaves.

Kelp Forests and Ocean Carbon - Canada

BC’s kelp forests capture COâ‚‚ faster than trees. Restoration efforts are helping coastal ecosystems fight climate change from the sea.

We are so honoured to be able to live and learn on the beautiful unceded, ancestral, and occupied, traditional lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation. Every day we take a moment to put our hands on this earth, and be mindful about what this means and the generational trauma that has come and will continue to come with society's choices. Every day we strive to work with others to be stewards of this incredible land and to acknowledge and hold space for those who came before, and we welcome opportunities to do more and to do better.
