Join The Wilder for a mushroom foraging/plant walk in the wilds of Squamish. Learn about local habitats, the different identifying features of favourite mushrooms and their favourite habitats, how to forage with care for the environment, and enjoy a delicious warm tea from Raven & Hummingbird Tea Co, Indigenous-owned local teas. This workshop will be a weekend 2 hour walk in October/November 2022 (once we see some rain and more mushrooms emerging!), and the location will be released to ticketholders before the workshop. We are so honoured to be able to live and learn on the beautiful unceded, ancestral, and occupied, traditional lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation. Every day we take a moment to put our hands on this earth, and be mindful about what this means and the generational trauma that has come and will continue to come with society's choices. Every day we strive to work with others to be stewards of this incredible land and to acknowledge and hold space for those who came before, and we welcome opportunities to do more and to do better.
